Police Seek Man After Deer Killed Near Welwyn Garden City

Thursday, April 12th 2012 12:40

Pictures have been released of a man police want to speak to after a deer was killed in Ayot St Peter near Welwyn Garden City...

It's believed a Muntjac deer died after being attacked by one or more dogs near to Water End Lane on Friday around 1.30pm.

Sergeant Jamie Bartlett from the Rural Operational Support Team said: "We'd like to speak to this man to find out what happened. It may be that he witnessed the incident and can provide more information.

I would remind people that it is an offence to hunt a mammal using dogs in this country. And it is also illegal to have your dog dangerously out of control, which could result in another animal being killed."

If you recognise this man or have any information about this incident please call Sergeant Bartlett via the Hertfordshire Constabulary non-emergency number 101.
